Victoria is a recognized leader in travel and tourism in Canada. In her current role, she leads Mississauga’s official destination organization, which spearheads sales and marketing initiatives for attracting visitors to Canada’s 6th largest city – home to Pearson International Airport, while also making investments in the long-term stewardship and development of the destination.
Prior to joining Visit Mississauga, Victoria served as Executive Director with Discover Saint John, where she was responsible for building recognition for the Port City regionally and nationally. Victoria also has over 10 years experience in leading philanthropic organizations including the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation – within New Brunswick’s provincial tertiary hospital, the Canadian Cancer Society of New Brunswick and the United Way.
Victoria is a very active volunteer within the tourism industry and other business groups. She serves globally as a Director with both the Destinations International’s Foundation Board of Trustees and its CDME Board. And nationally on the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) Board as and Executive member and as former Co-Chair of the Canadian Destination Leadership Council. She is a volunteer member of the Campaign Cabinet for the Peter Gilgan - Trillium Health Partners Foundation’s $705 Million drive, joining other community leaders in raising funds to build Canada’s largest hospital.
Victoria is a proud alum of Dalhousie University and has earned the CDME (Certified Destination Management Executive) designation and now instructs Destination Leadership within the program.
