General Manager | Atlantica Hotel Halifax
Clark is the General Manager for Atlantica Hotel Halifax, owned and operated by Manga Hotels out of Mississauga. Currently the President of the Hotel Association of Nova Scotia. Mr. Clark has almost 30 years experience in the Nova Scotia hotel market where he began his career as a kitchen steward with the Citadel Inn Halifax in the late 1980s after attending the Hotel Restaurant Management Program with NSCC.
David has extensive experience with both branded and independent hotels and has operated properties in focused service environments through full service properties with large food and beverage outlets. Most of Mr. Clark’s experience was gained through working with Hilton Hotels and Centennial Hotels (A family owned independent hotel company). His “no, is not an option” approach to doing business in the hospitality industry has proven to be a successful formula. David has been a member of the Hotel Association of Nova Scotia since 2005, holding several executive positions with the association, including President of Hotel Association of Nova Scotia since 2015.
Mr. Clark has attended several courses at Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration and Guelph’s School of Hospitality and holds a seat with Board of Directors for Discover Halifax.
